The Summary 

The Department Community Services is one of the largest departments in the
Municipality and is divided into 3 Functional Sections which host service areas.
significant to day-to-day community living:

  1. Social Services: Sport and recreational, library services
  2. Local Economic Development, art and culture & Tourism
  3. Protection Services: DLTC, Registering Authority, Disaster management, fire and rescue services.

The functions of Community Services

Traffic law enforcement: which assists in the saving of lives through effective traffic policing.

Driving license testing centre:​This component is responsible for testing and issuing of learners licensing; renewal of driving licenses; application and issuing of professional driving permits (PDP); conversion of foreign driving licences, Law enforcement.
